The Erasmus+ scholarship information session program was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, alongside H.E. Igor Driesmans, the Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia. The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry, professors, lecturers, and students from various higher education institutions in Siem Reap Province.
During the recent meeting between Angkor University and the Study in China Center, several key points regarding potential collaboration were discussed. One of the main topics was the possibility of having professional Chinese language teachers from the Study in China Center provide training to students at Angkor University. Additionally, both sides explored the idea of organizing study tours and academic programs in China for students from Angkor University. The discussions aimed to lay the groundwork for a fruitful partnership that would benefit the educational and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
The top management of Angkor University participated in the 5th Lancang-Mekong College Students' Goodwill Games and the 7th South and Southeast Asia College Student Culture and Sports Week. This event, which took place in Kunming, China, was hosted by Kunming University of Science and Technology to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The program's purpose was to foster stronger bonds and promote cultural exchange among partner universities while featuring various sporting events including football, volleyball, and badminton. Additionally, a forum was held to address ways to enhance the quality of higher education.
The meeting between Angkor University and Kunming University of Science and Technology of China aims to create an extensive academic collaboration and cultural exchange framework. The primary objectives include establishing a curriculum exchange program, facilitating scholarship opportunities for students and researchers, organizing student internship visits, sharing art and culture between Cambodia and China, and planning reciprocal visits between the two universities, including delegations to Angkor University.
JCI Japan-Himeji Angkor University and JCI Cambodia-Siem Reap have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on an international exchange program. This collaboration will offer special opportunities for students from both countries to engage in an inter-exchange program, allowing them to learn from each other and build a strong partnership for the future.
Angkor University recently had the wonderful opportunity to host a visit from a group of medical students from Singapore. During their visit, the students engaged in valuable exchanges of experiences regarding various aspects of higher education, including theoretical and practical studies, internships, and time management. Angkor University recently organized a public lecture on "Foreign Policy and Bilateral Relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Indonesia." The lecture featured distinguished guest speaker H.E. Santo Darmosumarto, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Cambodia.
